NEWFANE, NY: Chateau Niagara Winery - Please join us on Saturday October 3, 2020 for the Chateau Niagara Winery Fall 5K Trail Run! The race is being brought to you by iRun WNY and will take place entirely on Chateau Niagara property in Newfane, New York. We have designed a scenic two-loop course that takes place primarily on groomed trails and through the vineyards. CLICK HERE to view iRun WNY safety protocol during Covid.
Please note that depending on the weather, there may or may not be muddy areas on the course. We have decided to limit the total number of race participants to 150 maximum runners (3 waves with 50 runners max per wave). Each participant will run individually as we plan on starting runners one at a time with faster runners going ahead of slower runners to allow for proper social distancing on the course and to comply with state guidelines.

REGISTRATION & PACKET PICKUPOnline registration will remain open right up until October 3, 2020 at 10am or until we reach our maximum number of participants for this race (150 max). Race bibs and custom Chateau Niagara Winery corkscrew/bottle openers will be dispensed prior to the race outside of the winery using our touch free drive thru pickup (we hand you everything you will need for the race while you sit safely in your car prior to parking) from 8:30 am right up until the start of wave #1 at 10:00 am.Please be prepared to wear a mask before and after the race and/or maintain at least 6' of social distance between yourself and other persons. Any person(s) who refuse to follow proper social distancing guidelines will be asked to leave and may be denied entry to future events.

POST RACE CELEBRATIONJoin us after the race for what is sure to become one of the most unique 5K post race celebrations in Western New York! Race participants will enjoy spectacular views, music, a complimentary glass of wine (21 or older) along with food provided by winery staff, and there will be wine specials at their outdoor patio bar throughout the event!Remember that you are being asked to bring your own LAWN CHAIR and spread out across their beautiful, shaded park like setting. You must wear a mask when you are walking around the winery property and/or maintain proper social distancing (6' minimum) at all times. Any person(s) who do not comply with these guidelines may be asked to leave the premises and may be banned from attending RMS events in the future. Please don't attend if you can't follow the rules!PARKING

AGE GROUPS & AWARDS
Hand crafted trophies will be presented to the 1st place overall male and female finishers. There will be no formal awards ceremony during Covid, however all participants can download custom finisher certificates from the event page and view/share finish line photos following the race!
14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69. 70-74, 75-79, 80 and older.

CANCELLATION POLICY
In the event of foul weather, public safety concerns, or for any other reason deemed necessary by race organizers (ex: state of emergency, shelter-in-place, limit on social gatherings, etc), we want runners to know up front that we are planning to convert this to a virtual 5K race. Runners will run 5K on their own during a designated window of time and submit their finish time as instructed. Additional information will be presented should we be forced to hold a virtual race. There will be no refunds.
TIMING & FINISH LINE SERVICES
Gun start/chip finish timing services using industry leading Jaguar Electronic RFID timing will be provided by Race Management Solutions. Results are updated throughout the race in real time and can be accessed at any time after crossing the finish line using any one of the following options:
